Well the National Phenotypic Screening Centre is now up and running! It’s been a long process but great fun as well as a great deal of hard work. We hired our Lead Engineer in December 2014 (John Raynor) who we poached from the SGC in Oxford. He has been a huge help and is looking after both robot systems and the other devices which touch-wood are behaving pretty well.
The main focus at the moment is getting the biology going with some and making sure the general workflows are robust.
Here are some pics of the equipment in situ.
